Boost Your Confidence
With all the uncertainty in the world at this moment, it’s not surprising that people’s fears are heightened. The current unprecedented situation can put people into ‘fight’, ‘flight’ or ‘freeze’ mode and mean they behave in unusual ways. That’s why we have panic buying, people in face masks and others who choose to hide away from any contact.
We all react to stress and anxiety in different ways and that depends a lot on our personal experiences and insecurities. Although I don’t personally feel a high level of fear at the moment, I can understand and be curious about the way others react.
We are all being forced to slow down, to reassess our priorities and to spend time with the people we care about most. This can have a really positive effect and boost your confidence, self-belief and clarity of purpose.
As you’re forced to think about how to best protect yourself and others you automatically drop to focus on the more basic needs of any human. You may have heard of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs as shown in the diagram below.
When we’re focused on the basic needs of our health and safety we are less likely to question our self-esteem and confidence. That means now is a great time to drop out of your busy mind, slow down and boost your confidence.
Stay safe.
